Sandbach's Premier Artisan Coffee Shop

After the COVID pandemic resulted in lost jobs in our family, we decided to try something completely new. Friends and colleagues kept telling us we should do something in hospitality and others were giving us ideas about places where getting a drink and and snack would make it altogether better.

So, we launched Blackwater & Grubb with a coffee van based in Sandbach Park. One year later, in 2021, the pandemic was steadily diminshing and we took on our current bricks and mortar coffee shop. In 2023 we acquired the adjoining building, now referred ot as The House Next Door, to accommodate an increasing customer base.

We source as locally as possible and we try to avoid 'run of the mill'. We work with carefully selected partners to ensure you get fresh and 'ready-to-take' food and drink for your convenience. Of course, if you would like to stay with us for convivial conversation in an intimate, welcoming and cosy environment you can settle down in one of relaxation areas.

We live locally, we are proud of our town and we value the relationship we have developed with our customers, locals and those visiting Sandbach.

We are conscious of our duty to minimise our impact on the environment so we use 100% compostable cups, lids, soup bowls and deli-wrap as well as wooden cutlery and 100% recycled napkins.
